Euroopan johtava itsenäinen klassisen musiikin levymerkki Outhere Music /Fuga Libera julkaisi yhtyeen esikoisalbumin ÆR 2021 ja nyt yhtye julkaisee toisen albuminsa “Komorebi”. Nimi viittaa japaninkielisen sanaan 木 (ko), 漏れ (more), and 日(bi) jolla ei ole suoraa käännöstä. Se kuvaa auringonvalon siivilöitymistä puiden lehtien läpi valon ja lehtien heijastellessa luonnon ikiaikaista estetiikkaa. Toisella levyllään yhtye keskittyy yhä enemmän omiin sävellyksiin ottaen inspiraatiota mm. pohjoismaisesta birgittalaissisarten kokoelmasta “Cantus Sororum” sekä suomalaisista runoista.
Aino Peltomaa, laulu, keskiajan harppu
Harmen Fraanje piano, elektroniikka
Mikko Perkola, viola da gamba, elektroniikka
'ÆR is an album by Peltomaa Fraanje Perkola, an unorthodox Dutch/Finnish trio for voice, piano and viola da gamba, which takes medieval hymns and transforms them into quizzical, drone-based experimental miniatures.'
- The Guardian

The Finnish-Dutch trio Peltomaa Fraanje Perkola immerse the listener in an esoteric and timeless sound bath. With viola da gamba, medieval harp, the human voice and electronic sound effects, they blend Finnish folk songs and music from the Middle Ages with jazz and their own compositions.
Europe´s leading independent classical music label Outhere Music published their first album ÆR in 2021 and now the trio will release their second album “Komorebi”. The name refers to three japanese words 木 (ko), 漏れ (more), and 日(bi) with no straightforward translation. It can be described as “to the sunlight shining through the trees” and beautifully captures the interplay of the aesthetics between the light and the leaves, and the shape of nature’s wisest earthly existence. On their second album Peltomaa Fraanje Perkola has taken a direction towards more their original compositions, but also include medieval chants from the nordic Bridgettine chant collection “Cantus Sororum” in combination with Finnish poetry.
