Irina Björklund ja Peter Fox tapasivat elokuvan kuvauksissa Los Angelesissa vuonna 2006, ja parivaljakko päätyi samana vuonna säveltämään ja julkaisemaan ensimmäisen albuminsa, vivaihteikkaan Oh l’Amour -levyn. Sitä seurasi monivuotinen ystävyys ja yhteistyö, vakiobändin paikka Hollywoodin Hotel Cafe -klubissa, kaksi levyä lisää sekä kiertueita.
Nyt on ensimmäisestä levystä kulunut 20 vuotta, Fox muuttanut New Yorkiin ja Björklund Ranskaan; mutta ystävyys ja yhteistyö ei näe rajoja. Jubileumin kunniaksi he julkaisevat uutta, Foxin studiossa New Yorkissa marraskuussa '25 nauhoitettua musiikkia, sekä antavat uutta eloa ja iloa sävelmiinsä vuosien varrelta.
Toukokuussa 2026 kaverukset nähdään pitkästä aikaa Suomen lavoilla - tällä kertaa mukanaan viime kesänä Björklundin kanssa Vinhan Kirjajuhlilla ihastuttaneet Jan Furustam ja Poèm Franzén, jotka myös esiintyvät uusilla nauhoitteilla. Kvartetti virittää leppoisan orgaaniseen kapakkatunnelmaan laulaen niin ranskaksi kuin englanniksikin - soittiminaan mm kitaroita, trumpetti, saha, koskettimet - ja Björklund johdattelee huumorilla ja lämmöllä yleisön läpi rakkauden kiemuroiden, kaikkine koukeroineen… Oh l’Amour!!

Irina Björklund and Peter Fox met on the set of a film in Los Angeles in 2006, and the duo ended up composing and releasing their first album, the vibrant Oh l’Amour, that same year. This was followed by many years of friendship and collaboration, a regular band position at the Hotel Cafe club in Hollywood, two more albums and tours.
It has now been 20 years since the first album, Fox has moved to New York and Björklund to France; but friendship and collaboration know no bounds. To celebrate the anniversary, they are releasing new music, recorded at Fox’s studio in New York in November 2025, and are breathing new life and joy into their compositions from over the years.
In May 2026, the friends will be seen on stages in Finland for the first time in a long time - this time with Jan Furustam and Poèm Franzén, who delighted Björklund at the Vinha Book Festival last summer, and who will also be performing on new recordings. The quartet creates a relaxed, organic pub atmosphere, singing in both French and English - using instruments such as guitars, trumpet, saw, keyboards - and Björklund leads the audience with humor and warmth through the twists and turns of love, with all its twists and turns... Oh l’Amour!!
The concert is open for all ages.
